our mission

Paw Print Hearts is a local Tampa, Florida animal rescue established in June of 2014 to help deal with the pet overpopulation problem in Hillsborough County and surrounding counties. Paw Print Hearts Animal Rescue is a 501c3 and all donations are tax deductible. We cannot save lives without donations and the help of our supporters.

Many people are unaware of what happens at their local county animal shelters. After a group of volunteers spent time there, they discovered the volume of wonderful dogs being left at the shelter for a host of reasons, some of which the poor owners had no control over, and some of which they did. These volunteers were closely watching good and healthy dogs die in high-kill animal shelters. They decided to do something about it and established Paw Print Hearts Animal Rescue. This group works on getting many of these dogs transported to NO KILL, out-of-state shelters, where these great, deserving dogs will find their forever homes. Paw Print Hearts also rehomes dogs locally by holding adoption events. Our rescue has saved over 900 dogs which were rescued and saved by caring, dedicated volunteers.  We would not be able to do this without the loving support of our volunteers and foster families.  There are many aspects to our rescue, one of which is we work to raise funds for transport, boarding, vetting etc., for these animals that are at high risk of being killed.  Our sincerest thank you to each of our generous and dedicated supporters.
